Simon Hudd, born 1978, Blockland CEOSimon has 20 years of experience advising technology and growth companies, both as a corporate and finance lawyer and as a trusted advisor, board member and COO. Simon spent 18 years working with large international law firms, qualifying in multiple jurisdictions and building a large book of business in emerging markets and technologies, including blockchain, digital assets and cryptocurrencies. Simon also has many years of experience in cross-border corporate structuring and formation of legal entities, acting as director of group companies and listed entities as well as managing corporate services businesses. Simon has advised CTCAP on its growing blockchain and digital assets business since 2021 and joins Blockland as CEO of the newly-formed DIFC company.Simon has a degree in English Law and French law and a Maitrise en Droit (LLM). Simon speaks English and French, is married with two children and loves playing golf and walking his two dogs.

Following a  broad based international career in wholesale banking, which included senior MD positions with HSBC in London, Singapore and Moscow covering top tier relationships across all sectors, Chris has since developed a portfolio of consultancy interests , with a bias towards new technologies and cryptocurrencies. Whilst this accumulated experience means that Chris is equally at home in dealing with mature enterprises as well as start-ups, he has a keen interest in supporting high growth potential new businesses to achieve scale, as his role with Blockland’s new UAE entity encapsulates. Chris is a graduate of Cambridge University and a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Banking and Finance, Singapore.
